You’d love to get free college money as soon as possible—but the glitchy rollout of the new FAFSA financial aid form is slowing everything way down.
Here’s a possible solution.
Want free college money ASAP? Scholarship America can help.
Scholarship America (which works with more than 1,000 organizations across the U.S. to distribute over $300 million in scholarship money) isn’t requiring applicants to fill out the FAFSA form this year.
According to this February 16th, 2024 MarketWatch article, “Scholarship America made the decision to scrap the FAFSA in the fall after it became clear that there would be delays (with it).” Instead, Scholarship America is asking 12 questions that get at a student’s financial situation.
To get free college money with as little delay as possible, search the Scholarship America website here:
https://scholarshipamerica.org/students/browse-scholarships/
This page is searchable by state, and it’ll work whether you need money right now—or for the upcoming academic year.
Want still more free college money?
1. Do still fill out the FAFSA form, even if you’re rich and even if it’s a hassle. Do it now, at the link below. The FAFSA form is still the gateway to the most plentiful, most reliable sources of college funding. You’ll find the official FAFSA form here:

2. Find additional scholarships to apply for in the helpful article I’ve written here.
