GET HELP NOW (LAW)
Before you look at this page, you’ll need to know the one specific principle that can take an “average” law school application and make it outstanding, even riveting, to the people who read it. Could you go look at that now? Then come back.
Okay; so you know you need help creating a flawlessly well-reasoned argument in your own behalf in your law school application.
You can get my help in three different ways. Choose the level of help that sounds best to you. (If you know you need a lot of help, scroll down to #3 on this list now.)
1) Get a free, 15 minute phone conference with me to hear about what I do and ask questions about how I can help in your particular situation. These quick calls are very encouraging, and will make you feel better right away. Call 612-622-2626, and if you get voicemail (I am with clients much of the day and can’t always answer immediately) be sure to include your telephone number and the best time of day for me to call you back.
2) Buy one hour of my time for $120.00. It’s not the best bargain, but it works if you need just a little bit of more involved counsel. There’s no limit to how many hours you can buy this way. Other people have purchased individual hours of my time to ask me questions such as: “I already wrote my personal statement. Will you just perform a formal analysis of the logic and emotional pull in it, and give me feedback?” (I am very kind and compassionate when I do this.) or they might say “My situation is this…..and now other people are telling me I don’t have a chance at law school. Do you think it’s worth it for me to apply?” (90% of the time it is, if you can just get some help shoring up your weaknesses.) or “My son is very worried about his GPA, and is now considering abandoning his plan to go to law school. Can you tell me if his situation is really that dire?” or “I applied last year and didn’t get in. Can you look at at my stuff and tell me why so I don’t repeat the same mistakes this year? The law schools I applied to aren’t telling me a lot.” To buy individual hours of my time, call me at 612-622-2626 or email me at jeannie@getintolawschool.com and request a one hour telephone appointment. Once we have our appointment time set, you will use the convenience of www.paypal.com to send your $120.00 payment to me. All meetings with me are pre-paid, so please have your payment completed by one hour before our appointment time.
3) The best, most effective option is to become one of my clients and get the highest level of help I offer, including complete help constructing your powerfully convincing personal statement from scratch. The cost is very reasonable, and you can get started at any time. Here’s how it works.
You pay a one-time $299.00 fee and thereby officially become one of my clients. Your very first task as my new client is to take a three hour class I teach entitled “How to Use Intelligent Introspection and Truth to Make an Outstanding Application to Law School.” This class is available on the phone, and is provided at no additional charge to all clients who have paid my $299 fee. It will teach you specifically how you can use the three component parts of logic, vivid sensory imagery, and clear, clever structure to create an outstanding personal statement for law school. The class is a required first step for all of the clients I serve, and it’s very easy to access it. It’s offered live one time a month, or you can listen to it online, download it to your iPOD, or listen to it on your phone at your convenience. (It is best to take this class before you ever even start trying to write a personal statement on your own.) Once you’ve had the class and completed the two types of brainstorming it suggests, you can (but are not required to) make further one-on-one appointments with me at a reduced rate so that I can give you all the personal help you need doing things such as:
- Choosing exactly which of your 10,000 life experiences you should write about
- Deciding how you, as an individual, can best order your thoughts in the personal statement…emphasizing and downplaying key things effectively
- Making your academic credentials look great, perhaps while explaining away a lower GPA
- Editing, revising, and polishing your writing until people’s jaws drop when they are reading it
- Answering any and all questions you may have about the entire law school application process
These additional meetings cost an additional $90.00 per hour — significantly less than my usual $120.00 consulting rate — and you do not need to decide how many hours you need in advance. You just request them as you need them, or you can just say: “Jeannie, the class was great! It answered all my questions, and I completely feel like I can take it from here on my own! I’ll let you know if I need more help…thanks!”
“Jeannie, for clients who need you only just for personal statement help, and they want you to take them all the way to the point that it is absolutely as powerful and effective as possible, how much does that usually cost?”
You pay only for the help you need from me so the cost is variable, but here’s how it works out for a lot of people:
First, my clients all pay my $299.00 initial client sign-up fee — which includes the class described above at no additional charge. Later, they might pay another $270.00 for an additional 3 hour one-on-one meeting with me where they tell me all their life experiences, I help them to choose what to write about, and we together decide how they might order their thoughts in their particular essay and how they can grab the admissions committee’s attention with a stunning introduction. Clients walk away from this meeting with a specific plan for exactly what to write about in what order –and if you’re like most of the people I see, you will probably feel that what we have generated is much, much more compelling than what you would have written on your own….even if you had put in 100 hours of your own effort.
Finally, many clients come back to me for one last $270.00 meeting after they have done their actual writing, to have me make final polishing suggestions. If you do this plan, you will pay me $839.oo total, and you will have an essay that you can use for law school applications, and then tweak and use again and again for scholarship applications.
“Sounds great! How do I get started?”
To officially become one of my clients and get the highest level of help I offer, use the convenience of www.paypal.com to send your $299.00 initial client sign-up fee to me. I’ll respond with the next date you can take the required class live, as well as the link and phone number where you can find it if you need it sooner. When you are ready for a one-on-one meeting with me (most of my one-on-one meetings take place on the phone, on Skype, or over the internet), you can call me at 612-622-2626. Make appointments with me well in advance, though; I book up quickly in March – October, and there is a $100 surcharge if I need to book you on a day when I am already full. My hourly rates may also increase over the summer as my client load becomes very heavy and my schedule fills up.
The system as I’ve created really works. I wouldn’t advocate a procedure that didn’t! Remember that because the stakes are very high when we are talking about a law school application, we are going for absolutely the highest quality, most compelling essay we can possibly compile. That’s the approach I take; nothing less. I hope this interests you.
“Can you help people apply to other kinds of programs as well?”
I provide this exact same service for applications to medical, business, graduate, D. O., dental, veterinary, and Canadian medical schools. So email, text, and twitter your friends!
“Can I get you as a speaker for my school’s pre-law society? We have no budget to pay you!”
Yes, and it’s free. Tell your school’s pre-law society president that I can be available for a free, one hour, live, in-person phone seminar for your pre-law group. The session is entitled “The Six Things You’ve Probably Never Heard About Applying to Law School.” Member students who can’t make the seminar can listen to a recording of it later on their phone, computer, or iPOD. Call 612-622-2626 for more information.
“I probably spent 30 hours trying to write my personal statement by myself before I found this site. I’d nearly worn out my delete button because everything I wrote looked either sappy and sentimental, or cold, sterile, and unfeeling. (I absolutely dreaded going to one of those expensive admissions consultants who just asks to see what you’ve written and criticizes it.) Jeannie’s required class was amazing, and it completely transformed the way that I was approaching this. After I finished her class I quickly brainstormed five pages of excellent usable ideas from my own life, and Jeannie then gave me personal help deciding which items to include and how I could structure my essay. In a matter of a few hours I had a powerful personal statement that I am still immensely proud of. I got in on the first try.” –B. R., Phoenix, AZ
